Since it was founded in 1981, Brascontrol defined its DNA and began its trajectory, seeking to develop leading national technology to act in critical solutions, at that time, in the industrial automation sector for industrial plants.
Already in its early years, it became one of the three main suppliers in Brazil of SDCD – Distributed Digital Control Systems for large industrial plants.
In the 1990s, it sold its customer portfolio and business to a multinational company that was starting its Brazil operation. From then on, Brascontrol decided to operate in a new field, Urban Mobility.
In the following years, with the experience of the systems integrator and manufacturer of electronic boards and equipment, Brascontrol embarked on product lines aimed at improving urban mobility in cities and highways, developing Traffic Light Controllers and Radars for speed control and gathering statistical data from the roads.
With the business perspective always ahead, Brascontrol continues to expand its portfolio. Currently, the company has systems and products aimed at providing solutions for the collective. It is a modern technology developed for cities, which contributes to turn them into smart cities, Smart Cities.
Transforming cities into Smart Cities is no longer a project for the future; it is undoubtedly a citizen’s requirement for the present!
Brascontrol makes itself available to municipal, state and federal managers to provide the right solutions with a positive impact on the population.

1981 – Brascontrol is born
1984 – 1st installation of a DDCS (Distributed Digital Control System) in Brazil, in an industrial plant.
1990 – Development of Intelligent Traffic Controllers.
1997 – Development of the Fixed Time Traffic Control Center Software.
1998 – Digital Fixed Site Speed Enforcement Equipment(speed trap): 1st company to broadcast color images of Day and Night in Speed Violations in Brazil (in Franca/SP).
2001 – UFSC – Universidade Federal de Santa Catarina Agreement: Real Time Traffic Adaptive Control Center Software.
2002 – 1st Digital Landing System homologated in Brazil, according to NR10, for use in classified areas.
2005 – Small-sized controller with intelligent programmer
2006 – GPRS technology implemented in the Digital Fixed Site Speed Enforcement Equipment (speed trap) for data transmission.
2006 – Implantation of GPS technology in traffic light controllers for wireless synchronization
2008 – 1st Real-Time Adaptive Traffic Control Center with national technology installed in Brazil
2008 – OCR – Automatic License Plate Reading System implanted in Digital Fixed Site Speed Enforcement Equipment (speed trap)
2014 – 1st Bluetooth system for traffic analysis approved by ANATEL in Brazil.
2016 – 1st Real-Time Adaptive Traffic Control Center with priority for LRVs (light rail vehicles), with national technology installed in Brazil (in Santos/SP).
2017 – Brascontrol's own headquarters inauguration, in Tamboré, Santana de Parnaíba/SP. Warehouse of 3,000m2, with 100 parking spaces.
2020 – 2nd SLM – Semi-automatic payment system for toll areas to be approved in Brazil, according to Artesp 12 resolution.
2020 – Launch of a Rotating Parking Space Sensor, with Lorawan technology, approved by Anatel.
2020 - Digital Parking Meter launch with service connected to the cloud in real time
2020 - New Brascontrol® Brand and website launch.
